One by one, the bride and groom carefully poured and presented tea according to seniority, thanking their parents and relatives for their unconditional love, guidance, and support that shaped them into who they are today.
When the elders accepted the tea, it symbolized their official welcome of the bride and groom into the family. They then offered their blessings along with traditional red envelopes (hongbao) as wishes for prosperity, happiness, and a successful marriage.
A Tea Chosen Not Only for Its Flavor, but for Its Story
For this special Tea Ceremony, Maison de Mamie carefully selected an organic tea from Cha Rak Pa (Forest Love Tea) in Chiang Mai called Sweet Memory—a fitting name to commemorate one of the most meaningful days of the couple’s lives.
Sweet Memory is a premium black tea beautifully blended with notes of chocolate, cherry, and apple, creating a rich yet gentle flavor with comforting warmth—much like the love shared by Apple and Popo.
Its uniqueness extended beyond its taste.
The tea package featured an illustration of a cat, representing the bride’s beloved pet. One of the tea’s ingredients is apple, sharing the same name as the bride. These thoughtful details made the tea feel as though it had been created especially for their wedding day.
